The fact is that Democrats in the Maryland General Assembly routinely reject any legislation that would empower more women to choose life for their children. Democrats are denying women a right to choose because they offer them no other options. Each legislative session pro-woman/pro-life advocates have legislation introduced to give women better options and to make sure women have the right to know about existing options. But every time the Democrats reject these bills. They don’t want any competition for the abortion monopoly over women’s health. You see, as Pastor P.M. Smith said again today “they are not public servants, they are self servants, they serve their donors not the people”. 60% of democrat lawmakers were endorsed by the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) in the previous election. The delegate mentioned in the article was a former Executive Director for NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland. Do you ever wonder how elected officials become millionaires? Abortion bloodmoney is buying elections and Planned Parenthood and other abortion rights groups spent $150 million to buy Democrat midterm elections. Once in office, Democrats start paying off those campaign promises. It has nothing to do with women’s rights, nothing to do with health and everything to do with greed. Democrats were the party of slavery, Jim Crow and segregation, the KKK and eugenics to control the growth of “unfit” populations. If you think that has changed then why are 78% of abortion clinics located in minority neighborhoods? The Republican Party was formed to end slavery, introduced the first civil rights legislation and ended Jim Crow, elected the first 5 Black members of Congress, and fight for the dignity of each human life regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion or age. Chris Anderson’s assessment is spot on and the Democrats aren’t going to stop targetting Black lives for destruction until people open their eyes and see who their true oppressors are. This needs to start with the Maryland Black Legislative Caucus.

Women have abortions for a multitude of reasons but the largest has always been that they do not have the financial or emotional resources and support to raise a child. Especially when the woman already has children. And there lies the true whitewashing that is in this article. The author has framed the abortions issue as a matter of racial erasure or survival of black people when it is a failure of society and government to help provide the resources to make abortions unnecessary. A failure that has consistently impacted lower income communities, who are disproportionately more likely to be black.

And there lies the problem with the pro-life movement. They have drawn the moral line at abortion and not the circumstances that lead to a women needing one. Before you start it’s not the break down of that family unit or values. Raising a child is a grueling, difficult and potentially rewarding undertaking. Whether it is done in a one or two parent household. The facts is, United States makes choosing to have a raise children increasingly impossible without devastating financial and personal consequences to parents.

We can find out how many appendectomies, heart attacks and cancer deaths occur in Maryland every year. Why can’t we find out how many abortions happen? And how many aborted babies were black, white, etc.?

One point I would take issue with Mr. Anderson is the use of the phrase “esoteric argument of where life begins.” While it may seem esoteric to some, it is in fact, the key question everyone must answer before taking a responsible stance on when abortion should be legal. I would urge all legislators to do this before voting on a blanket amendment to the State constitution concering a right to an abortion. Your vote could be helping to reduce the black population in Maryland. Black Lives Matter – ALL black lives. Even the unborn ones.
